32-inch professional monitor HP Series 7 Pro with 4K, Thunderbolt 4, and HDR

Early last year, HP released the Z32k G3, a 32-inch Ultra HD monitor for professionals featuring 4K resolution (3840 x 2160), an IPS Black panel, and Thunderbolt 4. HP has introduced a sister model, the HP 732pk, with the same key features.

HP Series 7 Pro 4K (732pk) 32-inch professional monitor

The HP Series 7 Pro 32″ UHD IPS monitor showcases a straightforward yet elegant design with sleek, narrow bezels, complemented by a compact, height-adjustable stand. Furthermore, the distinct, angular back adds a touch of modernity to the overall aesthetic. Leading the array of features, is the monitor’s impressive 31.5-inch IPS black panel. Notably, this panel is reputed to achieve a superior contrast ratio of 2,000:1, a feat it accomplishes by rendering deeper blacks. Consequently, this monitor stands as a testament to design excellence merged with remarkable display technology.

The panel achieves full 4K resolution, i.e. 3,840 x 2,160 pixels, but the frame rate is limited to 60 Hz, as is usual with office monitors. The LED backlight enables a full-surface brightness of 400 nits, including VESA DisplayHDR 400 certification. The 32-inch professional monitor can display the sRGB color space completely, and the DCI-P3 color space at least 98 percent. The big special feature of the HP 732pk is the Thunderbolt 4 port (USB-C).

This allows you to connect a laptop to the monitor and charge it with up to 100 watts using the same cable. Thunderbolt 4 also connects a PC simultaneously to the integrated USB-A hub with four ports, each of which can achieve data rates of up to 5 Gbit/s, as well as to the DisplayPort output, which allows you to connect a second monitor. The 32-inch professional monitor also has a Gigabit Ethernet port, another USB-C port that can charge devices with up to 15 watts, DisplayPort 1.4, and HDMI 2.0.

HP 32-inch 4K monitor price and availability

The HP Series 7 Pro 4K monitor (732pk) is already listed on the Bhphotovideo.com website for $879. This makes the HP monitor cheaper than the almost identically equipped BenQ PD3225U, which, however, has integrated stereo speakers.

Updated on November 14, 2024: the HP 732pk professional 4K business monitor is now listed on Amazon for $835.40.
