Optoma has launched a line of ultra-bright projectors, including the ZU607TST, ZU607T, and ZU707T models, suitable for well-lit environments and large venues.
Manufacturers primarily design these projectors for use in professional settings, such as offices, where it’s not always possible or desirable to achieve full darkness. Their high luminosity permits clear viewing even in minimally dimmed rooms.
While these models are tailored for professional use, they also include a game mode. They have a resolution limit of 1920 x 1200 pixels, which suffices for presentations. However, movie enthusiasts might consider this a drawback since many home projectors now offer 4K resolution.
The projectors boast a remarkable brightness of 6,000 to 7,000 lumens, based on the model, and a contrast ratio of 300,000:1, allowing them to display content with a broad contrast range effectively. Employing a laser as the light source, they offer a lifespan of up to 30,000 hours in Eco mode, where light output is lower.
Regarding optics, the ZU607T and ZU707T feature standard zoom lenses with a projection ratio ranging from 1.2:1 to 1.92:1. In contrast, the ZU607TST is a short-throw projector with a projection ratio of 0.58:1, requiring notably less distance from the screen, capable of projecting images up to 300 inches. Connectivity options include HDMI, USB, RJ45, and RS232 ports.
