YONGNUO Unveils Enhanced YN50mm F1.8S Lens for Sony E APS-C Cameras

YONGNUO has introduced the all-new YN50mm F1.8S DA DSM II lens, specifically designed for Sony E APS-C cameras, boasting enhanced autofocus capabilities compared to its predecessor.

The lens is constructed with 8 elements in 7 groups and features a 7-bladed diaphragm. Its minimum focusing distance is 0.45 m, offering a wide viewing angle of 30.4°. With ample light, capturing soft blur effects becomes effortless. Moreover, the lens easily adapts to low-light conditions, enabling smooth shooting at low sensitivity and high shutter speeds.

The YN50mm F1.8S DA DSM II lens can produce circular diffuse spots and capture images with 14 starburst effects. Its rear shell employs a spot-spraying process, providing a comfortable grip while effectively reducing fingerprint smudges.

Equipped with a digitally controlled stepping motor (DSM) and an excellent focusing algorithm, the lens delivers superior performance. It also includes one low-dispersion glass, nanometer multi-layer coating, gold-plated contact, high-precision metal mount, dust-proof, anti-drip design, and supports USB Type-C forward compatibility.

Measuring Ø64 x 58 mm and weighing just 134 g, the lens is remarkably compact. The installation thread for filters is 49 mm. Its focusing algorithm has been upgraded to enhance speed and accuracy.
