Vivo has announced two new smartphones in its ‘X series’ – X9s and X9s Plus in China. Obviously, the main highlight of both the new Vivo smartphones are their dual selfie cameras with LED flash and both runs Funtouch OS 3.1 based on Android 7.1 Nougat. The Vivo X9s price in China is CNY 2,698 – approximately $396 and the Vivo X9s Plus price is set to CNY 2,998 – approximately $440. The X9s will be open for registrations on July 14, and it will go on sale from July 20th. While the X9s Plus is available from today and both come in Matte Black, Gold, and Rose Gold color options.
Vivo X9s Specifications
The Vivo X9s features a 5.5-inch AMOLED display with Full HD (1080×1920 pixels) resolution and is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 octa-core (quad Cortex-A72 clocked at 1.8GHz quad Cortex-A53 clocked at 1.2GHz) chipset clubbed with Adreno 510 GPU. It packs 4GB of RAM and 64GB of native storage with microSD card support.
For optics, the X9s flaunts a 16-megapixel primary rear camera sensor with PDAF, 1/2.8 inch sensor and LED flash. The big highlight is the dual selfie camera system with a primary 20-megapixel sensor and secondary 5-megapixel front camera to capture depth with front LED flash. The device also has a fingerprint sensor embedded into the home button.
The Vivo X9s runs on Android 7.1 Nougat based on FunTouch OS 3.1 and supports a dual-SIM slot. It packs a 3320mAh battery with fast charging and connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, GPS, Bluetooth 4.2, Micro USB 2.0, USB OTG, and 3.5mm audio jack. It measures 152.6 x 74 x 6.99mm and weighs 154 grams.
Vivo X9s Plus Specifications
The Vivo X9s Plus features a larger 5.85-inch AMOLED display with Full HD (1080×1920 pixels) resolution and is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 653 octa-core (quad Cortex-A72 clocked at 1.95GHz quad Cortex-A53 clocked at 1.44GH) chipset clubbed with Adreno 510 GPU. It packs 4GB of RAM and 64GB of native storage with microSD card support.
The Vivo X9s Plus packs a 4015mAh battery with fast charging and it measures 162.59 x 78.84 x 7.25 mm, and rest of the specifications are same as the X9s.
