Asus introduces the latest additions to its portable ZenScreen lineup: two top 144Hz monitors. These models are not only suitable for gaming but also offer impressive specifications. The Asus MB16AHG, with a 15.6-inch display, and the Asus MB17AHG, with a 17.3-inch display, both feature IPS technology, Full HD resolution (1920 x 1080 pixels), a 144Hz refresh rate, and FreeSync Premium.
Both top 144Hz monitors cover 100 percent of the sRGB color space, achieve a typical brightness of 300 cd/m², and have an 8-bit color depth. The 15.6-inch model boasts a contrast ratio of 1200:1 and a response time of 3 ms (gray to gray), while the 17.3-inch model is advertised with a contrast ratio of 800:1 and a response time of 5 ms. Additionally, both 144Hz second monitor models offer GamePlus features, including an FPS display, a black stabilizer, and crosshair overlays.
The range of connectivity options includes mini-HDMI for the 15.6-inch model, HDMI for the 17.3-inch model, two USB-C ports with DisplayPort alternate mode, and a headphone jack. Notably, the 920 g Asus ZenScreen MB16AHG is equipped with a kickstand on the back, allowing for tilt adjustment. For those seeking a more ergonomic setup, the devices can be mounted on a stand with a 1/4-inch thread. Both monitors feature a blue light filter and a flicker-free backlight.
In terms of power consumption, the 15.6-inch model operates at less than 17 watts, while the 1.29 kg Asus ZenScreen MB17AHG draws slightly more at less than 18 watts.
