Samsung introduces its ViewFinity S6 series, featuring two best WQHD curved monitor models. These monitors boast an expansive ultra-wide 34-inch VA panel and offer a range of compelling features, including integrated 5-watt stereo speakers, robust 90-watt USB-C Power Delivery, and QHD resolution.
The newly launched ViewFinity S6 S65VC and S65UC from Samsung provide a near-identical set of features. The sole distinction lies in the fact that the S65VC includes a discreet 5-megapixel webcam, cleverly retractable into the housing to safeguard user privacy.
Both the best WQHD curved monitor models center around a 34-inch VA panel, curved at a 1,000R radius, presenting content in an immersive 21:9 format. This configuration yields a crisp resolution of 3,440 x 1,440 pixels, accompanied by a commendable 3,000:1 contrast ratio and a peak brightness of 350 nits.
A 100 Hz frame rate facilitates an agile 5-millisecond response time (grey to gray), and with the support of AMD FreeSync technology, instances of image tearing are mitigated, rendering these monitors suitable for gaming. Notably, automatic adjustments to both brightness and color temperature can be expected to adapt seamlessly to ambient lighting conditions.
The monitors can be seamlessly connected to PCs through options including DisplayPort 1.2, HDMI, or USB-C ports. Notably, the USB-C port’s capabilities extend beyond mere connectivity. It can deliver charging power of up to 90 watts to compatible laptops while concurrently serving as the conduit for integrated two-port USB hub and Ethernet connectivity.
Leveraging the innovative integrated KVM switch, users can manage multiple computers with a single set of keyboard and mouse. The monitors further integrate 2 x 5-watt stereo speakers.
