Zepp Health introduces the Amazfit Cheetah Square, a new smartwatch that harmoniously blends a stylish rectangular case with two functional buttons and a digital crown. This innovative timepiece boasts an impressive battery life of eight days and features remarkably accurate dual-band GPS technology.
Following the Amazfit Cheetah and Cheetah Pro, both featuring round displays, Zepp Health diversifies its collection with the introduction of the Cheetah Square, a rectangular variant. While the Cheetah Square aligns with the standard Cheetah’s attributes, its battery life spans eight days during typical usage, four days under heavy use, or 13 hours of active GPS tracking.
The case, distinctively lighter by around 22 percent and weighing 25 grams, accommodates two buttons alongside the digital crown on its right side. One of these buttons is dedicated to instantly activating preferred workout modes, alleviating the need for users to navigate through menus. It exhibits a water resistance of up to 5 ATM and measuring 9.9 millimeters in thickness, features an aluminum bezel.
Sporting a 1.75-inch AMOLED panel with a resolution of 450 x 390 pixels and a peak brightness of 1,000 nits, the device offers over 100 watch faces and supports an always-on display.
The Amazfit Cheetah Square is equipped to interact with Amazon Alexa, or a simplified voice assistant when internet access is unavailable. The watch encompasses comprehensive sleep-tracking capabilities, and it continuously monitors heart rate and blood oxygen saturation levels. Catering prominently to running enthusiasts, the smartwatch boasts a remarkably precise dual-band GPS for meticulous route tracking. Furthermore, the device enables map data download and independent navigation, independent of a connected smartphone.
Leveraging the Zepp OS, users have access to a multitude of more than 100 third-party apps, including popular choices like Runtastic and Strava. With over 150 supported sports modes, eight of which are auto-recognized, activities such as running, walking, cycling, and swimming are comprehensively covered. The smartwatch also offers storage capacity for up to 2.3GB of music, with the convenience of playback through connected Bluetooth headphones.

The Amazfit Cheetah Square is currently available for purchase on Amazon.co.uk for £226.23, with deliveries expected to commence within approximately one week. Remarkably, this rectangular rendition shares the same price point as its round counterpart, the best smartwatch for strava and spotify. At present, the Cheetah Square is exclusively offered in the Champagne Winner color variant, and the pricing for the United States market remains undisclosed.
