Samsung M50C: A New Smart Monitor with Impressive Features

Following the successful launch of the Samsung Smart Monitor M80C, South Koreans can now anticipate the arrival of its counterpart, the Samsung M50C. This new model features a built-in VA panel, available in both 27-inch and 32-inch sizes, offering a resolution of 1920 x 1080 (FHD) at 60 Hz and boasting HDR10 support.

While the advertised HDR10 support (M80C: HDR10+) may not perform miracles, due to its moderate brightness of 250 cd/m² (compared to M80C’s 400 cd/m²), the M50C still offers impressive features. According to the datasheet, it provides color support for up to 1 billion and a contrast ratio of 3000:1. The Tizen OS ensures independent usage of the screen, eliminating the need for external devices, and includes compatibility with SmartThings Hub, and Samsung Gaming Hub.

In terms of connectivity, the M50C offers Bluetooth 5.2, HDMI 1.4, WLAN 802.11ac, a USB 2.0 hub, and USB-C with 65-watt PD. Additionally, it incorporates internal speakers with Adaptive Sound, TV Plus, and Game Mode features. However, it is worth noting that the webcam for video communication is not included and must be purchased separately for this particular model.

On the ergonomic front, users can enjoy adjustable inclination, VESA mount compatibility (100 x 100 mm), blue light filtering, and a flicker-free backlight. The Samsung Smart Monitor M50C also comes equipped with remote control and Gaming Hub, enhancing user convenience and entertainment options.
