Samsung Galaxy J8 With 6-inch Super AMOLED 18.5:9 Infinity 2.5D Display, Dual Camera Launched

As promised, Samsung India on Monday has announced the Galaxy J8 smartphone in the country. It is mid-range device comes with a large 6-inch 18.5:9 FHD+ Super AMOLED display, 4GB RAM, Dual Rear Cameras, fingerprint sensor and Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box.

Samsung Galaxy J8 Price in India and Availability

The Samsung Galaxy J8 price in India has been set at Rs. 18,990 – approximately $278 and will be available from June 20, 2018. The handset comes in Black, Gold and Blue color options.

Samsung Galaxy J8 Specifications

The Samsung Galaxy J8 features a 6-inch Infinity 2.5D curved glass Super AMOLED display with HD+ (1480 x 720 pixels) resolution, and 18.5:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by a 1.8 GHz octa-core processor which supported by Snapdragon 450 14nm Mobile Platform with Adreno 506 GPU and 4GB of RAM. It packs a 64GB of inbuilt storage which can be expanded via microSD card up to 256GB.

On the camera front, the Galaxy J8 flaunts a dual rear camera setup: a 16-megapixel rear camera with a f/1.7 aperture along with a secondary 5-megapixel rear camera with f/1.9 aperture and LED flash to capture the depth information for portrait shots with bokeh. For selfie, there is a 16-megapixel front-facing camera with front LD flash to capture bright self-portraits and video calling.

The Samsung Galaxy J8 has a fingerprint sensor on the rear panel and also feature face unlock. The handset runs on Android 8.0 Oreo-based on Samsung’s own UI out of the box. It packs a 3500mAh battery and supports dual SIM slot with dual standby. For connectivity includes 4G VoLTE, 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, A-GPS, Bluetooth 4.2LE, ANT+, and 3.5mm audio jack.
