Honor Play 7 has recently been launched in China, as a new budget smartphone that inherits a large part of the technical features and design from the recent launch of Huawei Y5 Prime 2018.
Compared to its predecessor Honor Play 6, this Play 7 adapts itself to the latest market trends, by featuring an 18:9 FullView display with 5.45-inch size with HD+ resolution, Android 8.1 Oreo-based on the EMUI 8.1 interface and dedicated triple slot for two SIM and a microSD, to expand the internal storage.

Honor Play 7 price in China has been set at CNY 599 – approximately $93, so we should expect that his twin brother Huawei Y5 Prime 2018 will also available around this figure in the US. The device will arrive on the Chinese market starting from May 22nd in three color options: Gold, Black, and Blue.

The Honor Play 7 features a 5.45-inch HD+ (720×1440 pixels) FullView display with an 18:9 aspect ratio, and runs Android 8.1 Oreo-based EMUI 8.0. The handset has a triple card slot so it can include two SIMs and one microSD at the same time. The smartphone is powered by a 1.5GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6739 processor coupled with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of inbuilt storage, expandable via microSD card.
On the camera front, it features a 13-megapixel rear camera with PDAF and LED flash. For selfie, it has a 5-megapixel front-facing the camera with selfie toning flash. The smartphone offers 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS, 3.5 audio jack. It bears an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, compass, and a proximity sensor. It also features a Face Unlock is fuelled by a 3020mAh battery. The smartphone measures 146.5×70.9×8.3mm and weigh 142 grams.
