Ricoh GR II with High Speed Auto Focus, Wi-Fi and NFC Connectivity officially Launched

Ricoh Imaging has introduced the new camera called the Pentax Ricoh GR II, is the upgraded version of the Ricoh GR was launched 2 years ago.

Compared with the previous version, Ricoh GR II design is quite similar, primarily upgraded camera configuration. In terms of design, the camera has to rise above the top and exterior housing is made of lightweight, high-rigidity magnesium alloy to increase certainty and reduce the weight of the camera only 251g.

The Ricoh GR II has an LCD screen size of 3-inches with a resolution of 1.2 million pixels. Rest of the GR II is identical to the previous version. The camera still uses 16 Megapixel APS-C size CMOS Image Sensor and 23.7 x 15.7 mm dimensions same as the previous Ricoh GR Digital Camera. The lens of camera inherited from the previous version, with a focal length of 28mm (in the 35mm format). This lens incorporates two high-precision aspherical optical elements and a high-refraction, lower-dispersion glass element to minimize distortions and chromatic aberration, while reproducing sharp, high-contrast images even at edges of the image field.

The highest aperture f/2.8 – f/16, worth of upgrading a new autofocus system with speeds of only 0.2 seconds. There are 17 new different categories with six new effects such as B&W, B&W TE, High Contrast B&W, Cross Process, Positive Film, Bleach-Bypass, Retro, Miniaturize, Shift Crop, High-Key, HDR Tone, Clarity, Brilliance, Slight, Vibrant, Bright, Portrait.

The Ricoh GR II is also comes with Built-in auto flash with Wireless flash function – PENTAX AF360FGZII, PENTAX AF540FGZII. The camera is equipped with Wi-Fi wireless and NFC connectivity. With this change, you can control the Ricoh GR II, enable remote shooting, synchronized image, image transmission between camera and mobile device.

The Pentax Ricoh GR II will be sold from July for $799.
