Xiaomi introduces the Redmi Pad SE, a new Redmi tablet lineup, aiming to captivate the mid-range market segment with its slim metal casing, an 11-inch display boasting narrow bezels, quad speakers, and an 8,000 mAh battery, all at an appealing price point.

Positioned as a more budget-friendly alternative to the standard Redmi Pad, this new Redmi tablet from Xiaomi maintains a similar design ethos, sporting a sleek aluminum enclosure measuring just 7.36 millimeters in thickness and weighing 478 grams. The housing is available in three color options: dark grey, violet, or green.

At the heart of the device lies an 11-inch IPS panel with a 16:10 aspect ratio, offering a resolution of 1920×1200 pixels and a refresh rate of 90 Hz. Xiaomi boasts a contrast ratio of 1,500:1 and a brightness level of 400 nits. The tablet features both a 5-megapixel front camera and an 8-megapixel primary camera, both capable of recording 1080p videos at 30 frames per second. The Redmi Pad SE arrives in three distinct configurations: one with 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage priced at €199, another with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage retailing for €229, and a third option with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage available for €249. The storage capacity is expandable via a microSD memory card. Interestingly, the global variant of the new Redmi tablet is listed on Amazon.com at $229.99 for the 4GB + 128GB model, available in Graphite Gray and Mint Green colorways.
