QNAP Systems has presented the TVS-675 NAS storage, built on an eight-core x86-compatible Zhaoxin KaiXian KX-U6580 processor, clocked at 2.5 GHz. The NAS network attached storage is equipped with two 2.5 GbE ports and two slots for caching solid-state drives M.2 2280 with PCIe Gen3 x1 or SATA 6 Gb/s interface.
The NAS system is designed for 2.5-inch or 3.5-inch drives with a SATA 6Gb/s interface. Hot-swap is also supported. The NAS drive is configured with 8GB DDR4 memory expandable up to 64GB. SODIMM memory modules are installed in two slots.
The new QNAP NAS users can switch the operating system from QTS to QuTS hero – QNAP’s ZFS-based NAS operating system that provides end-to-end data integrity, data reduction (inline data deduplication, compression, and compaction), and more features for users that need to prioritize data reliability over performance.
In addition, there are two PCIe Gen 3 x 4 slots where you can install expansion cards such as network cards with 5GbE or 10GbE ports. HDMI 2.0 output allows you to directly display multimedia data and NAS virtual machines desktops on a monitor or TV. TVS-675 is running an operating system with QTS on QuTS hero. Completing the picture are a pair of USB 3.2 Gen 2 (10 Gb/s) ports and a pair of USB 3.2 Gen 1 (5 Gb/s) ports.
