MSI has recently expanded its MSI curved monitor display named Optix G24C4, which is now available to pre-order on the B&H store. The MSI Optix G24C4 has a 23.6-inch diagonal, 1920 x 1080 resolution, but above all a refresh rate of 144hz. Additionally, features such as 1500R curvature and a 1ms response time should deliver an enjoyable and immersive gaming experience.
Aesthetically, the MSI monitor has modern lines and a design with thin bezels on three sides. The build quality is entirely in dark gray plastic with a matte finish, with the house logo on the lower frame. The only lively note is the small red joystick for accessing the OSD (On Screen Display) menu, located on the back on the right side. The support is a tripod with a hole for the passage of cables, with only the inclination adjustment. The panel is opaque, to ensure a good level of anti-glare without giving up satisfactory image quality.
Inside there is a Samsung SVA (Super Vertical Alignment) panel with an anti-flicker WLED type backlight. The 144 hertz monitor guarantees a static contrast of 3000:1, offers an excellent viewing angle up to 178°, horizontal and vertical, and also supports 8-bit color mode.
Freesync technology is also available, along with framerate compensation using LFC (Low Framerate Compensation). The exact refresh rate values range from 48 to 144 Hz, the wide color gamut (90% DCI-P3 or 115 % sRGB), and the presence of an anti-blue light mode to prevent eyestrain.
On the back, there are some ports facing downwards: two HDMI 1.4b type, a DisplayPort 1.2a, a 3.5 mm headphone jack, and the input to the power supply, entrusted to an external power supply. If more flexibility is required, it is possible to take advantage of the VESA fixing holes and use a different mounting system.
