Along with the MSI GE76 Raider, Taiwan-based Micro-Star International has also unveiled the MSI GE66 Raider gaming laptop with all new Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 and RTX 3070 GPU at the CES 2021.
The older model GE66-10SF offers up to 32 GB of RAM and a discrete graphics accelerator GeForce RTX 2070 with 8 GB of GDDR6 video memory. The younger version GE66-10SE is equipped with 16 GB of RAM and a GeForce RTX 2060 video card with 6 GB of GDDR6 video memory.
The new MSI GE66 Raider combines both performance and aesthetics for gamers. The bottom edge of the palm rest and its keys support customizable RGB lighting, which users can set to fit their style. It features customizable RGB lighting. Users can choose from a variety of colors and lighting effects to suite their style.
Specs-wise, the new GE66 is equipped with a 2.2 GHz 10th Gen Intel Core i7-10870H eight-core processor, 32GB of DDR4 RAM, a 1TB NVMe PCIe M.2 SSD, and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 8GB GDDR6 and RTX 3080 graphics card. The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 30-series graphics card provides major improvements in performance, memory bandwidth, and power efficiency over its predecessor. Moreover, it features dedicated Ray-Tracing cores for enhanced graphical quality and life-like images.
The RTX 3080 laptop features 15.6-inch UHD 4K 3840 x 2160 60 Hz resolution or FHD 1920 x 1080 300 Hz resolution. Connectivity options include USB Type-A and Type-C, HDMI, Mini DisplayPort, SD media cards, Gigabit LAN, Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax), and Bluetooth 5.2. Other integrated features include a webcam, microphones, speakers, and a combo audio jack. Windows 10 Pro (64-Bit) is the installed operating system.
