Lenovo Legion Pro 7i Gen8 with Core i9-13900HX and RTX 4090

Lenovo has a Legion Pro 7i Gen8 gaming laptop with 13th Gen Core i9 and Core i7 processors and Nvidia’s latest generation GeForce GPUs. The Legion Pro 7i measure 363.4 x 262.15 x 21.95 – 25.9mm and weighs under 2 .8 kg (6.1 lbs).

Lenovo Legion laptops are some of the most popular gaming laptops on the market. One of the reasons for this popularity is their sober design which does not look out of place in a professional environment. Continuing this trend of office-friendly gaming devices, Lenovo unveiled the Legion Pro 7i Gen8 at CES 2023 alongside Legion Pro 5i Gen8.

The Legion Pro 7i 2023 is built around Intel’s 13th Gen Raptor Lake processors and Nvidia’s RTX 40 GPUs. The Legion Pro 7i’s entry-level configuration features higher-end SKUs up to a Core i9-13900HX. As for the GPU, the Legion Pro 7i base model is equipped with an RTX 4070 and can go up to the flagship RTX 4090 card.

The Legion Pro 7i Gen8 has up to 32GB of DDR5 memory and up to 2TB of PCIe Gen 4 storage clocked at 6000 MHz. As for the display, all Legion Pro 7i configurations feature a 16-inch, 16:10 WQXGA (2560×1600) IPS panel with a 240Hz refresh rate and 3ms response time. It also covers 100% of the sRGB gamut, supports Nvidia G-SYNC, and is VESA DisplayHDR 400 certified with a peak brightness of 500 nits.

Ports on the Legion Pro 7i include Thunderbolt 4, (on the left side) a USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port with DisplayPort 1.4, and a USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A port. The right side is occupied by a 3.5 mm combo jack, a USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A port, and an E-shutter button to block the webcam. The rear of the device features a DC input for power, a USB 3.2 Gen 2 port with DisplayPort 1.4 and 140W PowerDelivery, two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports, a single HDMI 2.1 port, and an Ethernet port.

Finally, Lenovo announces up to 8 hours of battery life for the Legion Pro 7i Gen8 with a capacity of 99.99 Wh. The company claims you can charge the device up to 80% in 30 minutes and 100% in 60 minutes.
