This new HTC camera update with Raw Camera mode lets you capture DNG file (Digital Negative) so you can easily use and edit it in Photoshop, Lightroom, and many other software on your computer.

This feature will help maximize the HTC M9 main camera when you can save a lot of information about color, detail than JPEG (which has been compressed). Also the post-production editing is more effective and easy.

Besides, the new update also brings Crop-Me-In mode features only available for the HTC One M8 EYE runs Android 5.0 Lollipop OS and HTC Desire EYE. This is the mode used to take a selfie photography on the HTC Desire EYE, and after you finish shooting, the device will automatically crop the image for a better layout. When using Split Capture Mode images from the HTC One camera with half and half from behind the camera, now you can drag the slider in the middle to resize the image of each half.

The timeout of RAW images after shooting is will be longer rather than JPEG and the RAW image file size is around 40MB.
