The HP Omen 25i uses a 24.5-inch IPS panel with a frame rate of 165 Hz including support for AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, a resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels, and a maximum brightness of 450 nits, which is at least for a VESA DisplayHDR 400 -Certification is sufficient. The DCI-P3 color space can still be represented to 90 percent, the smaller sRGB color space to 99 percent.

The HP OMEN monitor offers some features that are specifically aimed at gaming enthusiasts. This includes, among other things, a crosshair that is displayed in the middle of the screen and that can automatically adjust its color in order to always remain as visible as possible. Edge Precision increases contrast, while Shadow Vision brightens dark areas on the screen to better spot enemies hiding in the shadows.

In addition, the Omen 25i is the world’s first monitor with a “Game Remaster Mode” according to HP, which is supposed to automatically optimize older games with lower resolutions with a few filters. The equipment is rounded off by a DisplayPort, one HDMI, and an integrated USB hub with two ports, but the base only allows the screen to be tilted and not adjusted in height.

The HP Omen 25i gaming monitor is now available to buy via Newegg.com, Bhphotovideo.com, and Amazon.com websites for a recommended retail price of $299.99.
