Gigabyte GS34WQC 34-inch Curved Gaming Monitor with HDR and FreeSync Premium

The Taiwanese company Gigabyte is listing a new gaming screen called the GS34WQC, which appears to be a sister model to the better-equipped Gigabyte G34WQC-A.

The Gigabyte GS34WQC boasts a 34-inch VA panel featuring a crisp UWQHD resolution of 3440 x 1440 pixels. It offers a 1500 R curvature for an immersive viewing experience, although it slightly lowers the refresh rate to 135 Hz, as opposed to the typical 144 Hz. While it supports HDR, it doesn’t carry the DisplayHDR 400 certification.

Among its notable features are FreeSync Premium and an Aim Stabilizer mode designed to reduce motion blur, although these two functions cannot be used simultaneously. The specifications sheet also indicates an 8-bit color depth, 300 cd/m² typical brightness, a wide color gamut covering 120 percent of sRGB, and an impressive 4000:1 contrast ratio, ensuring deep black levels. Additional options like a black stabilizer, picture-in-picture, picture-by-picture modes, and crosshair overlays are accessible through the OSD.

For connectivity, the monitor provides two HDMI 2.0 inputs, a DisplayPort 1.4, and a headphone output. In terms of ergonomics, users can adjust the monitor for tilt, height, and VESA mounting (100 x 100 mm). It also features blue light filtering and a flicker-free backlight for added comfort during extended use.
