Dell updates the 15.6-inch Dell Inspiron 15 5000 series notebook with the latest Intel Tiger Lake-H and improved discrete graphics from Nvidia. The 2021 Dell 15 model also comes with a wide range of RAM and storage options.

The CPU options Dell is offering this year are replacing the i5 and i7 Tiger Lake U models with the new i5-11300H and i7-11370H, respectively. The new Dell laptop only offers up to 1 TB NVMe SSDs (dual SSD option), but no Optane modules.

The laptops equipped with i5 and i7 processors offer Intel integrated graphics or the Nvidia GeForce MX450 GPU as an option. For connectivity, the laptop gets a Thunderbolt 4.0 port, which is only found in the i7 configurations, while the i5 configurations instead contain a USB-C 3.2 Gen 2X2, but at least 2x USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 ports and an SD card reader.

Other standard features are Wi-Fi 6 connectivity, an HD webcam with shutter slider, fingerprint sensor, and 54 Wh batteries. A fully equipped 15.6-inch FHD laptop weighs 1.63 kg.
