With the new features, you’ll get the video data in raw form, the potential for very large post production. The other distinctive feature of Magic Lantern firmware as Intervalometer, Trap Focus, Motion Detect, all work well. Combined with Dual Pixel CMOS AF on 70D, this feature will help filmmakers to give out quality products easily. A 14-bit RAW video example of the Canon 5D Mark III below:

Regarding memory card, you need a high-capacity card because all the data are in the form of RAW video without compression, a very large file size. Specifically, some members were tested and to know if you use the Sandisk Extreme Pro 90MB/s 32GB memory card, the recorded time below:

  • 1852 x 788 @ 2:35 / 24fps records for 14 seconds
  • 1792×762 @ 2:35 / 24fps records for 16 seconds
  • 1728×736 @ 2:35 / 24fps records for 22 seconds
