Blackstar has introduced the new acoustic guitar amplifier ACOUSTIC: CORE 30. In addition to the usual functions of an ordinary amplifier, this offers a great introduction to the world of online concerts. So you can be present even in the current difficult times and reach your loyal audience via the screen.
Before we go into any further details, let’s first take a look at the basic functions. The ACOUSTIC: CORE 30 offers all the necessary functions for the modern singer/songwriter. The control panel is clearly structured and has two channels.
Channel 1 is designed for the use of acoustic guitar music. In addition to gain control, 2-band EQ, and two types of chorus and reverb, there is also the Enhance control to adapt the sound to your needs. In the demo video, it looks as if the intelligent amplifier is generating the sound that is optimal for you. However, we wouldn’t be surprised if there was just a pre-made EQ curve behind it.
The same applies to the vocal clarity function of the second channel. Equipped with a mic/line combo socket, this channel offers a 3-band EQ and two different reverbs. The phase reversal switch under the master controller is designed to eliminate annoying feedback. The XLR output on the back is certainly of great use in live situations.
Ready for the livestream
We come to the exciting streaming function. Of course, the acoustic guitar amplifier cannot control the WWW by itself. Since almost everything happens on a smartphone or tablet these days, the amp has been given a TRRS connection. With the right cable, you can not only play backing tracks but also record videos with excellent sound or even stream them live directly via Instagram and Co. That’s pretty good, don’t you think so?
