Synology is launching a new best NAS for docker with the Disk Station DS423+. The model can also handle large amounts of memory and is based on an Intel processor.

Synology is adding a new best NAS for docker to its extensive network storage portfolio with the DS423+. With this, the company is also targeting ambitious private users who want a total of up to 72 terabytes of storage – however, the model could also meet the needs of smaller companies or individual teams.

Four bays are available for installing hard drives or SSDs, which can accommodate both 3.5 and 2.5-inch mass storage devices. In addition, there are two slots for M.2 SSDs, whereby such are usually used as caches in a NAS, but frequently used data can also be manually stored on the SSD memory, which must be accessed with the lowest possible latency.

The Intel Celeron J4125 is used as the processor, and the two-gigabyte DDR4 RAM can be expanded to up to six gigabytes. Two USB 3.2 Gen 1 port are installed, which makes it easy to back up data from external storage media.
