Beoplay H8i and H9i Bluetooth Headphones with Active Noise Cancellation Announced: Price and Availability

B&O Play introduced the Beoplay H8i and H9i headphones at CES 2018. The Beoplay H9i are wireless over-ear headphones made with a lightweight aluminum band covered with stitched leather. The anodized aluminum earcups are equipped with a leather cushion memory foam to adapt to the shape and curve of the ear. The hybrid Active Noise Cancellation technology has been designed to offer a better performance between 300-800Hz, so as to ensure greater efficiency for external noise cancellation.

The Transparency Mode allows you to turn off the music and ANC technology at the same time and listen to the outer noise. The cleanest bass in the deep frequencies has allowed obtaining a more balanced sound, according to the manufacturer. The Beoplay H9i incorporates a proximity sensor that automatically pauses music or video streaming when the headphones are removed. Playback resumes when the headphones are worn again. There is also simultaneous Bluetooth connectivity to two devices and a battery life that reaches a maximum of 18 hours of usage time, four times more than the H9.

The Beoplay H8i are on-ear headphones. The design has been revised with more streamlined and contemporary lines. The anodized aluminum discs have been simplified to align with the ear cups and the mono-arm has been redesigned to offer a more linear and minimalist design. The battery life reaches up to 30 hours of operation with Bluetooth and noise cancellation activated. There is also Transparency Mode, two-device connectivity at the same time and proximity sensor. The latest news is an additional microphone to improve call quality.
