Archos 156 Oxygen Tablet with 15.6-Inch Display and Android Nougat Launched

Archos has added another tablet to its Oxygen series by announcing the 15.6-inch Archos 156 Oxygen tablet in Europe. The tablet will be made available by the company in Netherland and will be sold by centralpoint website at EUR 239.99 -approximately $254.

The company seems to be targeting families with the tablet as it comes with an integrated kickstand which can tilt up to 135-degrees so the families can sit down and enjoy their favorite movies, play games, share pictures or surf the web together. It can also be put on display in the kitchen or the living room as a family organiser.

As you might have predicted, Archos 156 Oxygen is the largest tablet in the Oxygen series and packs a 15.6 inch IPS display with full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) resolution. The tablet will run Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box.

The Archos 156 Oxygen is powered by a 1.5GHz quad-core MediaTek MT8163 CPU, coupled with a Mali 450-MP4 GPU and 2GB of RAM. The tablet sports a 2-megapixel front-facing camera for video calling. The device packs a 10,000mAh battery, it measures 378 x 244 x 22 mm and weighs around 1.53kg.

The 156 Oxygen comes with an inbuilt storage of 32GB, which is expandable via microSD card (up to 32GB). In terms of connectivity, the tablet comes with a 3.5mm headphone jack, Micro-HDMI port, Wi-fi, and Bluetooth.
