Currently over 300 products are available on Amazon Kickstarter Store page in various categories including electronics, books, kitchenware, movies, wireless accessories, toys, games, and more. Both the companies partnered each other will help the Kickstarter’s products to reach more users, through the familiar interface of the Amazon, and of course the number of items will also be increased gradually.
Crowdfunding is the best way to take when you have a unique idea, or an interesting project. Amazon with its portal Lauchpad section gave space for all new startups and small companies who wanted to sell their products, providing dedicated pages and marketing tools within its portal.
Amazon Lunchpad has contributed to the launch of over 1,000 products in the US, UK, China, Germany and France this year, a truly remarkable achievement that is likely to increase sales for both.
Commenting on this partnership, Mr. Jim Adkins, Vice President, Amazon, said. “We created the Amazon Launchpad program a year ago to serve creators, inventors, and startups. Our goal is to enable them to reach Amazon’s hundreds of millions of customers and to overcome one of the biggest challenges any startup faces – bringing their product to market successfully.”
“At Amazon, we work hard to offer the widest possible selection of products so that customers can find anything and everything they might want to buy online. Working with Kickstarter is a great way for us to hear directly from customers what products they care about, since they truly hold the power to bring these products to life.”
“Kickstarter helps independent creators find the resources, courage, and community they need to bring their creative projects to life,” said Yancey Strickler, CEO and Co-Founder of Kickstarter. “We’re thrilled to collaborate with Amazon Launchpad on creating a new path for those projects to be discovered, experienced, and loved.”
