Hasselblad 907 X 100C medium format camera with 100MP sensor and 1TB SSD

Hasselblad has launched the 907 X 100C medium format camera, featuring a 100MP sensor and a 1TB SSD. This new model combines an attractive retro design with versatility and high-resolution capabilities.

The CVF 100C digital back upgrades the camera, incorporating the same 100MP medium format sensor found in the Hasselblad X2D. With a resolution of 11,656 x 8,742 pixels and a dynamic range of 15 stops, this sensor captures stunning photos.

A color management system that reflects true contrast, produces rich saturation, and gives accurate skin tones in your captures, resulting in a film-like image style. Phase Detection Autofocus (PDAF) with face detection allows for precision focusing and provides 294 autofocus points.

The new digital back is lighter, weighing 460 grams, and includes a built-in 1TB SSD. In addition to the CFexpress Type B memory card, the internal SSD can store around 4,850 RAW images and enables transfer to a computer via USB-C (10 Gbit/s).

The camera features both an electronic and mechanical shutter and can control the leaf shutter of compatible lenses. It supports all Hasselblad XCD lenses and allows the use of HC, HCD, XPan, and V lenses with an adapter. Most Hasselblad V cameras released since 1957, except for the 907X, are also compatible with the CFV 100C Digital Back.

Autofocus is available when using the 907X in combination with XCD lenses, and the camera features a fold-out 3.2-inch touchscreen with a resolution of 1,024 x 768 pixels which acts as a viewfinder. The battery can hold up to 420 photos (CIPA) and charges via a USB-C cable. For wireless photo transfer, the camera is compatible with the Phocus Mobile 2 app, allowing users to transfer photos to an iPhone or iPad via Wi-Fi.

907 X 100C price and availability

The Hasselblad 907X comes bundled with the CFV 100C Digital Back and is priced at $8,199. This makes it $1,800 more expensive than the 50-megapixel 907X 50C model. You can purchase the bundle from Bhphotovideo.com and Adorama.com.
