ASRock PG27FF1A Gaming Monitor with FreeSync Premium under $200

Along with the PG34WQ15R2B 34-inch curved gaming monitor with built-in Wi-Fi antenna (approx. $430 on Newegg), ASRock has also introduced the smaller sister model PG27FF1A 27 inch monitor for gaming under its Phantom Gaming series.

These new budget 1080p monitors are among the first gaming displays from ASRock. The IPS panel of the 27-inch model has a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels (Full HD), promises a refresh rate of up to 165 Hz, and supports HDR10. Since the typical brightness is only 250 cd/m², you shouldn’t expect an HDR miracle.

Other key data of the 1080p monitor include a 1100:1 contrast ratio, 8-bit color depth, 123 percent sRGB, and 94 percent DCI-P3. If desired, two integrated 2-watt loudspeakers act as sound generators. FreeSync Premium should ensure tearing-free gaming fun. The interface selection consists of two HDMI 2.0 inputs, a DisplayPort 1.2, and a headphone output.

The ASRock PG27FF1A can be tilted, rotated, or mounted on a wall or swing arm using a VESA mount (100 x 100 mm). Thanks to the flicker-free backlight, even longer gaming sessions shouldn’t harm the eyes and mind. The typical power consumption of the new product is 27 watts, the weight without the stand is 3.75 kg, and the dimensions are 612.42 x 367.03 x 47.2 mm (W x H x D).
