Predator Helios 16 2023 Gaming notebook now available with 13th Gen Core-i9 and RTX 4080

Acer has announced the market launch of the new Predator Helios 16 2023 gaming notebook. As usual, the systems are available in numerous high-performance configurations and are also offered with different display options.

Choices also include the display, the Helios 16 is offered with a 16-inch WQXGA display with either a 165 or 240 Hz refresh rate. As an alternative for the model, there is a mini LED panel with a refresh rate of 250 Hz, which should also be able to cover the entire sRGB color space. 1,000 local dimming zones and a maximum brightness of 1,000 cd/m² promise a particularly convincing reproduction of HDR content.

Only Intel models can be selected as processors, whereby customers can choose between Core i9 and Core i7 processors of the 13th generation. A GeForce RTX 4080 with a maximum graphic power of 175 watts can also be ordered as a graphics card. Up to 32 gigabytes of DDR5 RAM with a clock frequency of 4,800 MHz can be ordered, and two PCIe Gen 4 SSDs can also be operated in a RAID 0 array.

A new cooling solution promises better dissipation of waste heat, with liquid metal thermal paste also being used. The keyboard has a key drop of 1.8 millimeters and is equipped with RGB lighting. Among other things, two Thunderbolt 4 are available.
