Patriot P300 M.2 PCIe SSD Series includes M.2 sizes up to 1TB

Patriot announced the release of the P300 series solid state drives some time ago. This M.2 PCIe SSD is equipped with a Gen3 x4 interface and supports the NVMe protocol. The series includes models from 256GB to 1TB.

The manufacturer specified the Phison E13T Series controller is used in the SSD M2, called it “next-generation controller”. The controller works with 3D NAND flash memory, without caching in DRAM. According to Patriot, this has reduced the cost.

For 256 GB and 512 GB M.2 NVMe SSD models, sequential read speeds of 1700 MB/s and sequential write speeds of 1100 MB/s and 1200 MB/s, respectively, are announced. A 1TB SSD M.2 model reads data at speeds up to 2100 MB/s, writes – at speeds up to 1659 MB/s. If we talk about performance on operations with random access blocks of 4KB, in all cases it reaches 290,000 IOPS in reading mode and 260,000 IOPS in write mode.

The manufacturer estimates the resource of M.2 PCIe SSD drives with a capacity of 256GB, 512GB and 1TB at 80, 160 and 320 TBW, respectively.
