Recently, Nikon has successfully registered design of a new Nikon AF-S 800mm f/5.6E FL ED VR lens with more optimal structure.
Nikon aims to develop this new lens that creates an 800mm super-telephoto lens with smaller and lighter size, with high optical quality. The new lens will include three lens groups, in which the positive refracting groups and one negative group.
Nikon 800mm F/5.6 old version lenses were launched 3 years ago and became the longest telephoto lens in the Nikon lens line. The official release date and price of this Nikon lens is still a mystery.
