  1. There are now 16GB DDR3 SO-DIMM memory modules (not kits, but single modules) that work in all the new Broadwell-U based notebooks/ultrabooks (Lenovo, Dell, etc).

    See here: https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/X-Series-ThinkPad-Laptops/16GB-SO-DIMMs-work-in-X250/td-p/2035319

With these, the maximum amount of all the new 5th Gen Intel i3/i5/i7-5xxxU based laptops like Lenovo X250, T450s, etc can be doubled compared to the original manufacturer spec

Funny enough, even the Intel website still states “max 16GB” for the new Broadwells, but with two memory-slots and 16GB SO-DIMMs (type IMM2G64D3LSOD8AG-B15E) they can be upgraded to 32GB.

The products are manufactured by http://www.intelligentmemory.com and are readily available!
