Intel Core i5-8250U “Coffee Lake” CPU sighted on Acer Swift 3

With the recent announcement of Ryzen 3 and Ryzen ThreadRipper, AMD has definitely done strike to Intel, and the manufacturer from Santa Clara will also give the answer to it. And now new details coming to confirm this news, more precisely on the Intel’s 8th generation core processors, code-named “Coffee Lake”.

Intel had already announced Coffee Lake at Computex Taipei, providing as the indicative launch date of the end of 2017. This action before the opponent’s last moves. All new Coffee Lake micro architecture that is expected to be manufactured using Intel’s 14nm process.

Specifically talking about the upcoming Acer Swift 3 (SF314) laptop, one of the first laptops that will feature new Intel Mobile 8th Gen Coffee Lake Processor. It will be powered by unannounced Intel Core i5-8250U processor (clocked at 1.6 GHz with Turbo Boost frequency of 3.4 GHz paired with 6 MB of L3 cache), and the Acer Swift 3 laptop was also spotted on a French retail store where it is available for pre-order for €1,099.

Coming to Acer Swift 3 Specifications, apart from the Core i5-8250U CPU, the laptop will pack NVIDIA GeForce MX150 graphics card, a 14-inch IPS display with 1080p resolution, 8GB of DDR3 RAM, and 256GB of SSD. For ports, it will have 1x USB 2.0, 2x USB 3.0, 1x USB 3.1 Type C, 1x HDMI, card reader SDXC and audio jack of 3.5 mm. Its battery life is rated at up to 10 hours.
