HP is stepping into the mid-range laptop market with the Pavilion Plus 16, a sleek notebook that combines a 16-inch QHD display capable of a variable frame rate of up to 120 Hz, a robust Intel Raptor Lake-H processor, and a diverse array of ports including Thunderbolt 4 and HDMI 2.1.

The base version of this lightweight, 1.9-kilogram laptop, measuring a mere 1.98 centimeters in thickness, features an IPS panel in a 16:10 format. This panel boasts a resolution of 2,560 x 1,600 pixels, a brightness of 400 nits, and an impressive 100 percent sRGB color space coverage.

The display achieves a remarkable frame rate of 120 Hz, with the flexibility to reduce it to as low as 48 Hz using AMD FreeSync, effectively preventing image tearing. The Pavilion Plus 16 offers two processor options: the Intel Core i5-13500H or the Intel Core i7-13700H. Alongside, HP includes 16 GB of LPDDR5X-5,200 RAM and a speedy 512 GB to 1 TB PCIe 4.0 SSD. The notebook supports Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3, and HP has integrated a high-quality 5 MP webcam and stereo speakers fine-tuned by Bang & Olufsen.
