HP Fortis G11 Chromebook Brings USB-C, Wi-Fi 6E, and LTE Modem to the Table

HP presents the Fortis G11, a Chromebook featuring a 14-inch display that combines modern design with satisfactory features. However, in the base model, HP compromises the display and memory, saving costs.

The HP Fortis 11 primarily targets office users and students who want an affordable Chromebook with a generously sized display, a standard keyboard, and a spacious trackpad. This fanless HP 14 in touchscreen Chromebook operates silently, and it undergoes testing to meet the MIL-STD 810 standard, ensuring durability against drops of approximately 1.2 meters and water splashes.

With Wi-Fi 6E and an optional 4G modem, this lightweight Chromebook, measuring 2.2 centimeters thin and weighing 1.63 kilograms, is ideal for users on the go. However, HP does not provide information about battery life, except for the fact that you can charge it to 90 percent in 90 minutes using the included 45-watt USB-C power supply.

The top model, HP Fortis 14 G11, features a 14-inch display with a resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels and a brightness of 300 nits. In the base model, HP opts for a panel with 1,366 x 768 pixels and 250 nits to cut costs.

The entry-level model includes 4 GB of RAM but can be upgraded to 16 GB. In terms of storage, options range from 32 GB to 128 GB of flash memory, paired with an Intel processor from the N series. However, the exact model of the Intel processor, whether it is a modern Intel processor N95 or an older chip, is unclear from the available information.

Notably, the HP Fortis G11 boasts an impressive array of ports, including two USB-C (5 Gbit/s and DisplayPort), two USB-A (5 Gbit/s), HDMI 1.4, and a 3.5 mm headphone jack.
