HP announces DreamColor Z31x 4K Monitor

HP announced the new 4K monitor – DreamColor Z31x at the NAB 2017 Show in Las Vegas. The HP DreamColor Z31x release is scheduled for 2017 with a price list set at $3,999.

HP DreamColor displays use an IPS LCD with screen size of 31.1-inches along with LED backlight and 4K resolution (4096 x 2160 pixels). The specific refresh rate of 60Hz and a response time of 10 ms (with Overdrive enabled). The viewing angle is typical of IPS panels: 178° horizontal/178° vertical and the contrast ratio is equal to 1,500:1, while the brightness stood at 250 cd/m2 – nits.

The DreamColor Z31x monitor comes with a true 10-bit panel bit depth (can display up to 1.07 billion colors) and has the Flicker Free technology. The cover of the color gamut allows to reproduce 100% sRGB, 100% of BT.709, 100% of AdobeRGB, 99% of DCI-P3, and 80% of BT.2020. Display supports luminance calibration up to 250 cd/m², reserving any luminance headroom for panel aging compensation.

For connectivity, HP DreamColor monitors includes 2x DisplayPort 1.2, 2x HDMI 2.0, 3.5 mm jack, an Ethernet port, a KVM Keyboard Connection (USB port), 4x USB 3.0 ports and a Type-C 3.1 USB port (delivers a maximum power of 60W).
