Pioneer Elite VSX-LX805 with 11.4 channels, Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, Auro-3D and HDMI 2.1

Pioneer has recently revealed its latest flagship home theater receiver with HDMI 2.1. The Pioneer Elite VSX-LX805 boasts impressive features, including full performance on 11.4 channels and support for Dolby Atmos (music), DTS:X, and Auro-3D. Moreover, it provides ten HDMI connections, with eight of them being HDMI 2.1 ports.

With the “Elite” in its name, the Pioneer Elite VSX-LX805 belongs to the flagship category. Currently, the digital home theater receiver has been announced solely for the North American market. While it remains uncertain if it will be available in other countries, the possibility cannot be ruled out.

The Pioneer Elite VSX-LX805 delivers exceptional audio capabilities, capable of playing 11.4 channels thanks to its high-quality components. This includes the provision of two independent subwoofer outputs. As a result, users can create a 7.2.4 sound system without the need for additional amplifiers, utilizing four height channels. The home theater receiver setup supports various technologies such as Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, Auro-3D, and Imax Enhanced, including Neural:X and Dolby Atmos Height Virtualization. Furthermore, it provides support for Dolby Atmos Music and Dirac Live Full.

By September 2023, a firmware update will introduce Roon Ready functionality. The receiver offers a power output of up to 150 watts at 8 ohms per channel. Additionally, the Pioneer Elite VSX-LX805 facilitates music and audio playback in three independent zones.

Apart from its numerous features, the receiver boasts ten HDMI connections, accommodating various players and playback devices like televisions or projectors. It includes six HDMI 2.1 inputs and two HDMI 2.1 outputs. Furthermore, it offers input and output with HDMI 2.0. Notably, it incorporates several HDMI features such as eARC, Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM), and Variable Refresh Rate (VRR). Additionally, it supports Dolby Vision, HDR 10+, and more.
