Gigabyte, the Taiwanese tech company, has taken the gaming world by storm with its latest innovation, the GS27QC. This spectacular monitor is considered the best 1440p option for console gaming, building upon the success of its predecessor, the G27QC, which debuted in 2021. While many of the key features remain the same, the GS27QC comes with a significant enhancement, boasting a QHD resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels at an impressive 170 Hz (overclocked), compared to its predecessor’s 165 Hz.
The GS27QC offers gamers a VA panel with a 1500 R curvature, 8-bit color depth, FreeSync Premium, Aim Stabilizer, and HDR support. Its 27-inch display presents a stunning 4000:1 contrast ratio, 108 percent sRGB, and a typical brightness of 250 cd/m², ensuring solid black levels for an immersive gaming experience. On the connectivity front, users will find two HDMI 2.0 inputs, a DisplayPort 1.4, and a headphone output.
While the monitor’s performance is exceptional, it’s worth noting that the ergonomic functions are somewhat limited, with Gigabyte including only tilt adjustment, VESA mount compatibility (100 x 100 mm), blue light filtering, and flicker-free backlighting. The energy-efficient GS27QC boasts a power consumption of 26 watts.
