Gigabyte has released a new gaming monitor called the Aorus CO49DQ. This extra-wide curved monitor utilizes OLED technology, offering impressive color representation and an extremely low response time.

The Gigabyte CO49DQ is specifically designed as an extra-wide curved monitor based on OLED technology. With a 49-inch screen diagonal and a resolution of 5,120 x 1,440 pixels, it can effectively replace two 27-inch screens in a 16:9 format. The absence of screen edges and the curvature of the monitor contribute to improved ergonomics. The radius of curvature measures 1,800 millimeters. Additionally, the monitor supports displaying two image sources simultaneously using Picture-by-Picture and Picture-in-Picture modes.

The manufacturer claims a typical brightness of 250 cd/m² and a contrast ratio of 1,500,000:1, resulting in excellent reproduction of high-contrast content. The Gigabyte CO49DQ aims to meet the requirements of the VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400 standard while achieving 99% reproduction of the DCI-P3 color space.

With a gray-to-gray response time of just 0.03 milliseconds, the Gigabyte CO49DQ provides exceptionally smooth visuals. The panel can update at up to 144 Hz and is enhanced by the AMD FreeSync Premium Pro feature, which effectively prevents screen tearing. The monitor offers two HDMI 2.1 ports, a DisplayPort 1.4 port, and a USB Type-C port. It also includes a USB hub with two USB ports and two built-in speakers with a 5-watt output each.

Pre-orders for the 49-inch QD OLED gaming monitor are available on Amazon.com for $1,299.99, with a scheduled release date of January 31, 2024.
