Although the FiiO M11 hi-res music player has just been released not too long ago, however, according to the latest information from the ongoing CanJam London, FiiO will launch a new version of the M11 player named M11 Pro. The official price of the FiiO M11 Pro is currently expected to range from $600 to $700, although this price will be officially confirmed around October when the product is expected to officially available to purchase.
The most important point changes in M11 Pro compared to the previous M11 model is that the quality of the decoding, as well as the audio output, is significantly improved. The DAC circuit of M11 PRO will use AKM’s AK4497 DAC chips instead of the previous AK4493 chips on the M11 model. This means that the specifications of the M11 Pro player will be significantly improved as well as better decoding quality.
Regarding the amplifier, the FiiO M11 Pro Hi-res music player will no longer use the Opamp OPA926 / OPA1642 design as the normal version but instead is the amp module from the THX AAA to increase the linearity of the sound despite the output power is completely identical to the regular version. Using the new THX AAA amp module, M11 Pro will still keep the Full-balance design to ensure the detail, a separation between both channels and reduce background noise significantly. The Headphone output still has three single-ended 3.5mm port ports, 2.5mm and 4.4mm balanced.
Another difference is the storage part when the M11 Pro will only support 1 Micro SD card slot, but the internal storage is upgraded to 64GB compared to the previous 32GB on the regular Fiio M11. In addition, most of the remaining features between M11 Pro and M11 are usually the same as the Exynos 7872 CPU, 3GB of RAM, and 5.15-inch touch screen display.
Another difference is that the battery life is increased from 3800mAh to 4370mAh, which helps to increase battery life significantly. In terms of appearance, the M11 PRO model will have a slight difference that the PRO text is on the left side, while the rest is identical to the Fiio M11, usually from high-quality metal builds in the back. Carbon fiber is coated with a luxurious mirror.
In general, Fiio M11 Pro is a product that is expected to come with high-end specs equivalent to much more expensive hi-res music players, as well as the successes of the Fiio M11 model on the market.
