Bluesound has announced the release of a new Pulse Soundbar 2i, a new Soundbar with many features, along with the Pulse 2i and Pulse Flex 2i Multi-Room Smart Wireless Speakers.
The Bluesound Pulse Soundbar 2i measures 1.073 x 141 x 70 mm. Inside it, there are two 25 mm tweeters, two 50 mm midrange, two 102 mm woofers and 102 mm dual passive radiators. The amplification section is capable of delivering 120 W. There are also Dolby Digital supports and can play various types of audio files. They are compatible with MP3, AAC, WMA, OGG, WMA-L, ALAC, and OPUS. Users can also opt for high-resolution music with up to 192kHz / 24-bit quality. Supported formats are FLAC, MQA, WAV, and AIFF.
Connectivity offers numerous possibilities. Pulse Soundbar 2i is equipped with eARC (enhanced Audio Return Channel), the improved version of the audio channel now capable of handling lossless formats. Those who opt for wireless connection can also take advantage of Bluetooth 4.2 with aptX HD. Siri voice assistant, Alexa from Amazon and AirPlay 2 from Apple will also arrive via a firmware update.
There is also Wi-Fi (802.11ac dual-band), a Gigabit Ethernet port, two USB ports (a Type-A to play music, a Type-B for service functions), an analog input, an optical digital input, the output for a subwoofer and an HDMI port. All operations are managed by a 1.0 GHz ARM Cortex-A9 processor.
Bluesound Pulse Soundbar 2i can be connected to a Pulse Sub subwoofer and two Pulse Flex 2i speakers to create a multi-room system. It is priced at $799 and availability is scheduled for November this year.
