Bang & Olufsen has launched BeoPlay M5 speaker, a new high-end product also intended to be integrated into multi-room speaker – for those who spread the music in different rooms of the house.
The BeoPlay M5 Bluetooth speaker, designed by Cecilie Manz, is characterized by a cylindrical shape and is made of aluminum and outer part covered with wool fabric. The dimensions are 165 x 185 x 165 mm with a weight of 2.5 kilograms. Inside are a total of five speakers: a 12.7 cm woofer, a 3.81 cm midrange, and 1.9 cm three tweeters. A power source is a five digital Class D amplifiers. The woofer uses one 40W tweeter, and one 30W midrange (one front and two on the back) it takes one 30W from each.
For the perfect balanced sound M5 Multi Room Bluetooth Speakers uses True360 sound technology, there are 3 evenly distributed tweeters, a front facing mid-range driver and a powerful woofer that fires its energy down towards a carefully designed disperser, provide a uniform dispersion of well-balanced sound all around the room.
You can use the BeoPlay App for easier use in Multi Room Sound System mode, you can also activate a position optimization setting to maximize the quality of sound. Or you can also control by touching an aluminium disc, which placed on top of the speaker. The disc can rotates to turn the volume up or down, and can be pressed to play or pause the music.
Connectivity range on this Multi Room Speakers System is also very wide: we have the Wi-Fi 802.11 a / b / g / n dual-band and Bluetooth 4.0 (always active to facilitate the combination with other devices). Are supported AirPlay, Spotify Connect, built-in Chromecasts, Deezer and QPlay 2.0.
Those who prefer the use of cables can exploit the 10/100mb Ethernet port and analog / digital combined input on 3.5 mm jack. The BeoPlay M5 price in USA is $599 for both Black and Natural color variant. It can be pre-ordered through Amazon store and the multi-room speaker will be shipped after 20th January.
