Asus has introduced a new addition to its monitor lineup with the TUF Gaming VG34VQL3A. This curved 34-inch monitor is designed for video gamers, boasting high resolution and rapid response times, along with above-average color coverage.
The TUF Gaming VG34VQL3A is a new Asus 34-inch curved gaming monitor. The model is ultra-wide, conveniently curved, and features a subtle curvature with a radius of 1,500 millimeters. This curvature aims to enhance both immersion during gaming and comfort while engaging in productive tasks.
The monitor’s resolution is a sharp 3,440 x 1,440 pixels, resulting in an aspect ratio of 21:9. Utilizing a VA panel, the monitor ensures readability from both vertical and horizontal angles of up to 178°. Notably, Asus claims a maximum brightness of 400 cd/m² for HDR content playback, accompanied by a contrast ratio of 4,000:1, aligning with the DisplayHDR 400 standard requirements.
The refresh rate and the response time are particularly relevant for a 34 21:9 curved ultrawide gaming monitor. The VG34VQL3A boasts a refresh rate of up to 180 Hz and an impressively swift grey-to-grey response time of just one millisecond. The monitor supports AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, facilitating synchronization between the graphics card’s output and the screen display.
On the connectivity front, the monitor provides two DisplayPort 1.4 and HDMI 2.0 ports. A noteworthy inclusion is the USB hub, comprising three ports—an atypical but practical feature for a gaming monitor. In a parallel move, Asus has also introduced two new 4K gaming monitors—ROG Swift PG27UQR and ROG Swift PG32UQXR. The former boasts a 27-inch IPS panel, while the latter sports a 32-inch IPS panel. Both monitors feature 4K resolution, HDR support, a 160Hz refresh rate, and a rapid 1 ms response time.
