JVC has launched the HA-ET65BV earphones, designed for sports enthusiasts. The product is decidedly different from the recent HA-XC70BT. The earphones are water resistant (IPX5 certified) and incorporate a motion sensor that works in synergy with a dedicated application. In this way, it is possible to analyze the users’ running style.
The HA-ET65BV is also equipped with a voice coaching capable of processing data in real time using BiomechEngine technology. This function gives instructions and advice on running style, suggesting how to correct posture, improve physical activity and avoid injuries. Measured data include head angle, rhythm, impact, balance, gait, step width, and angle, stiffness of the legs and symmetry. All recommendations are provided through the Runspect app.
The earphones weigh 20 grams each and are equipped with the Pivot Motion Fit+ system, useful for maintaining a comfortable position in the ear while running. The right and left earbuds are joined by anti-tangle cables. The magnetic housings keep the two earphones together when the HA-ET65BVs are placed around the neck.
The technical specifications show the use of neodymium magnets combined with 9.2 mm drivers. The impedance is 16 ohms with a frequency response between 20 Hz and 20 kHz. Wireless connectivity uses Bluetooth 4.2 with A2DP, AVRCP, HFP, HSP, and SBC. The maximum signal range is about 10 meters. The integrated battery guarantees up to 7 hours of use, which is reduced to 6 hours with the voice coach in operation. Charging takes about 3 hours.
JVC HA-ET65BV earphones are sold with normal and open type earpieces to hear outside noises. A carrying case is also included. It has been priced at $129.95 and can be purchased through Amazon.[amazon box=”B07PSL1FFL” /]
