ZTE Nubia has expanded its gaming smartphone with today’s launch of the Nubia Red Magic 3S smartphone in China, after the Nubia Red Magic 3. It is mid-high range Nubia Red Magic phone comes with a 6.65-inch HDR AMOLED display, up to 12GB RAM, Snapdragon 855 Plus SoC, 48MP Rear Camera and an active cooling system along with an internal turbofan.
Price and Availability
The Nubia Red Magic 3S price in China starts from CNY 2,999 – approximately $419 for the 8GB RAM with 128GB storage version, and CNY 3,799 – approximately $531 for the 12GB RAM with 256GB storage version. It will go on sale in China from September 9th and it will roll out in global markets from October. The device comes in Black, Flame Red, and new Silver color options.
Nubia Red Magic 3S Specifications
The Nubia Red Magic 3S features a 6.65-inch HDR AMOLED with Full HD+ (2340 × 1080 pixels) resolution, 19:5:9 aspect ratio, 90hz refresh rate, HDR support, and 430 nits brightness. It is powered by a 2.96 GHz octa-core processor which supported by Snapdragon 855 Plus 7nm Mobile Platform with Adreno 640 GPU and 8GB LPDDR4x RAM with 128GB (UFS 3.0) storage / 12GB LPDDR4x RAM with 256GB (UFS 3.0) internal storage.
This new ZTE Nubia device features UFS 3.0 storage. It also retains an active cooling system that uses liquid cooling technology along with an internal turbo fan with upgraded air inlet, making active cooling more efficient to dramatically improving thermal performance.
It has Touch-sensitive shoulder triggers provide additional hardware buttons without the need for a gamepad accessory. You can configure and custom-map these buttons to suit their game of choice, and can also customize RGB lighting with several effects and over 16.8 million colors with Red Magic’s light effects editor.
On the camera front, the Nubia Red Magic 3S flaunts a 48-megapixel rear camera with 1/2.0″ Sony IMX586 sensor, 0.8μm pixel size, f/1.75 aperture offering 12MP output and Dual LED flash For selfie, there is a 16-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture. It has dual front-facing stereo speakers, DTS:X, and 3D sound technologies that create a cinematic soundscape, with or without headphones.
The Nubia Red Magic phone has a fingerprint sensor on the backside and handset runs on Android 9.0 Pie -based on Redmagic OS 2.1 out of the box. It packs a 5000mAh battery with 27W QC4.0, USB-PD fast charging. For connectivity includes Dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11ac dual-band (2×2 MU-MIMO ), Bluetooth 5, GPS/GLONASS/Beidou, USB Type-C. The device measures 171.7× 78.5x 9.65mm and weighs 215 grams.
