ZTE has begun to roll out the Android 8.0 Oreo update for Axon 7 smartphone in China, thus confirming that the company intends to demonstrate special care even for its older devices.
As anticipated above, the update should arrive in the western markets during the month of April, a time that now appears perfectly within the reach of ZTE, considering the arrival of the update in China. We have no screenshot to offer, but only the release notes (in Chinese) published on the company’s forum and the download link of the Android 8.0 Oreo ROM for ZTE Axon 7.
ZTE Axon 7 has arrived in the market in the first quarter of 2016 and, thanks to an expanded international availability, managed to gain a lot of appreciation globally. After almost two years since its release, its owners will be satisfied with the support provided by the parent company, as soon they will see the latest Android 8.0 Oreo update on their device.
Along with the new version of Android will also come an update of the proprietary interface of ZTE, MiFavor 5.2, much more near to stock than previous versions.
ZTE Axon 7 unlocked variant is available for $439 on the Amazon.com in Quartz Gray and Ion Gold color options.
