ZTE Axon 7 Max with Dual Camera and 6.0-inch 3D Display Launched

ZTE on Thursday unveiled the latest smartphone in its Axon lineup at ZTE CAIA Exhibition in Beijing, China, the Axon 7 Max. The smartphone is also slated to support 3D viewing with the naked eyes and dual camera system at the back. ZTE Axon 7 Max price in China is set to Yuan – 2,999 – approximately $442 USD, and will become available starting next month in China, where it is already up for pre-order. The ZTE Axon 7 Max features a 6.0-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) 3D display, 2.5D arc glass layer on top of it, 84% screen to body ratio and very narrow frame design. It follows Axon 7 series design with all metal three-stage design and curve back surface. However, it is larger in screen size, but lower in resolution than the ZTE Axon 7 Phone, which sports a 5.5-inch QHD (1440×2560 pixels) Amoled display and was launched in May.

Like it did with the Axon 7, ZTE has given the Axon 7 mini an aluminium unibody design, and a fingerprint sensor on the rear panel. The Axon 7 Max is available in 4GB of RAM and 64GB inbuilt storage space, and it is powered by 2.0GHz octa-core processor that’s backed by 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 chipset, clubbed with Adreno 506 GPU.

The smartphone flaunts dual 13-megapixel rear camera with Sony sensor with PDAF, and dual-LED flash module. The front camera bears an 8-megapixel sensor with f/2.2 aperture to capture wide group selfies and video calling. Like previous models, Axon 7 Max also comes equipped with a dual front speaker setup above and below the display, as well as dual microphones. It features Dolby Atmos technology with a dedicated dual Hi-Fi AK4962 audio processor providing Hi-Fi sound and recording. It is a dual SIM device runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow along with MiFavor 4.0 UI.

Connectivity options on board the ZTE Axon 7 Max include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, NFC, GPS, A-GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, and a USB Type-C port. It packs in 4100mAh battery with Quick Charge 2.0. Sensors on board include an accelerometer, gyroscope, digital compass, and a proximity sensor.
