The Zeiss Supreme Prime Cine lens series continues to expand with the announcement of the all-new three Zeiss lenses. The 200mm T2.2, 18mm T1.5, and 40mm T1.5.
The Zeiss Supreme Prime Series lenses are cover full-frame and even bigger sensors with an image circle of 46.3 mm. The lenses are color matched across the full range and most feature a fast T-stop of T1.5.
The Zeiss Supreme Prime lens family now consists of 14 lenses with fixed focal lengths between 15mm and 200mm and maximum apertures from T1.5 to T2.2. Eleven of the 14 lenses have a fast T-stop, T1.5. The lens family is known for its excellent quality and lightweight design.
These lenses are designed to cover large camera sensors and are compatible with the latest models, such as the Sony Venice, ARRI Alexa (Mini) LF, and RED Monstro. The versatility of the lenses to create different visual looks, due to the smooth depth of field and the elegant bokeh, makes them optimal for a variety of different film productions.
The new lenses are equipped with the ZEISS eXtended Data technology was released in 2017, which means they provide frame-by-frame data on lens vignetting and distortion, in addition to the standard data provided by the Cooke / i technology protocol. This streamlines workflows, particularly for VFX and virtual production.
