ZEISS has announced a new lens line called Milvus, including ZEISS Milvus 2.8/21, ZEISS Milvus 2/35, ZEISS Milvus 1.4/50, ZEISS Milvus 1.4/85, as well as the macro lenses ZEISS Milvus 2/50M and ZEISS Milvus 2/100M.
All these new ZEISS Milvus lenses will support the next generation super high resolution SLR cameras from Canon and Nikon. ZEISS Milvus design based on the ZEISS Otus line with the very smooth and easy grip focus ring for highly precise photography. The entire body is made of metal with this it becomes more efficient to be able to use for long periods. ZEISS Milvus also enables water and dust resistant design to protect the lens in the complex conditions. ZEISS has also added new lens coating and structural technology of the new carrier.
All ZEISS Milvus lenses have a Floating Elements Design which compensates for aberrations at different distance settings. T* anti-reflective coating reduces ghosting, flare and shading effects in critical light situations. ZEISS Milvus Lenses will be available for purchase from October 201s with price tags as below:
