Zeiss MIlvus 15mm f2.8, 18mm f2.8, and 35mm f2 Launched: Price and Availability

Zeiss adds three new lenses including 15mm f/2.8, 18mm f/2.8 and 135mm f/2 into its Milvus line, have expanded this family of manual focus lenses for DSLR cameras. Two super-wide angle lenses, the ZEISS Milvus 2.8/15 and ZEISS Milvus 2.8/18, and the ZEISS Milvus 2/135 telephoto lens. 

All three lenses have a focus ring with a very large rotation angle to enable precise focusing, and are made of comfortable rubber to ensure a good grip while focusing. New lenses for Canon EF and Nikon mounts, Nikon mount versions have a manual aperture, and are reverse barrelled for focusing when compared to Cinema and Canon lenses.

The entire body is made ​​of metal to be able to use for a long time. ZEISS also adds dust and splash water resistant feature to use in extreme weather conditions as well as surface coating, slide into the respective lens and are attached to the focus ring by turning two counter-rotating rings through a simple mounting procedure.

1. Zeiss Milvus 15mm F2.8 lens:

This is a super-wide-angle lens, with up to 110-degree viewing angle. ZEISS Distagon lens design with 15 lens elements in 12 groups, including two aspheric lenses, special glass with anomalous partial dispersion, and the floating elements design. The drawback for the user is a large size lens, filter diameter of up to 95m.

2. Zeiss Milvus 18mm F2.8 lens: 

This is a wide-angle lens, but with compact dimensions thanks to new ZEISS Distagon optical design has 14 lens elements in 12 groups, including two aspheric elements. With an angular field of 99.9 degrees, this lens is the ideal companion for landscape and architectural photography. Closest focusing distance of this lens is of 0.25m, and filter thread has a diameter of 77mm.

3. Zeiss Milvus 135mm F2 lens: 

It is telephoto lens specialized in portraits with a large aperture, beautiful bokeh, low distortion and angular field is 18.7 degrees. The short minimum object distance of 0.80 meters, has an optical design with 11 lens elements in eight groups, and filter diameter of 77mm.
